Patricia Camilien, our Chief Operating Officer is the brain of the operation. She works on, fixes and generally makes everything work as smoothly as possible. SuperPat is especially great at finding creative ways to make our limited funds do more than anyone could ever dream of. When she’s not at the Foundation, she’s thinking about it while lecturing her students at Université Quisqueya (Haiti) or working on her dissertation at Sciences Po Paris (France).
SuperPat first came to Plaisance du Sud, at 16, for a family reunion she would rather have skipped at the time. Then she fell in love … hard. When Doktè Lik died about 6 months later, she agreed to help Uncle Jocelyn start the Léopold Luc Guillaume Foundation in his name. In 2004, back from her studies in Montreal (Canada), she officially became the Foundation’s COO and has been ever since.
